MYOB Acumatica launches AI Studio with AWS to bring AI agents into ERP workflows

MYOB has announced the launch of AI Studio, a new capability within MYOB Acumatica designed to help mid-sized businesses build and run AI agents directly inside the platform they already use to manage operations.

Developed in collaboration with Amazon Web Services, the new feature embeds artificial intelligence into workflows, operational data, and business decisions, enabling companies to automate more tasks without relying on external tools or learning additional systems.

The launch reinforces MYOB’s strategy to expand AI capabilities across its mid-market ERP offering as Australian and New Zealand businesses increase investment in automation, operational efficiency, and business intelligence.

According to MYOB, AI Studio allows customers to create intelligent agents natively within the Acumatica platform, turning ERP data into automated workflows and decision support.

Through Amazon Bedrock, AI Studio will offer managed large language model capabilities powered by Anthropic. MYOB said customers will also retain flexibility to choose their preferred LLM thanks to Acumatica’s open architecture.

The announcement builds on MYOB Acumatica’s previous spring release, which introduced AI-powered features focused on productivity, visibility, and adaptability for mid-sized businesses.

New MYOB research cited in the announcement surveyed more than 1,000 decision-makers from mid-sized businesses across Australia and New Zealand. According to the study, 75% of business leaders said AI has delivered meaningful productivity improvements, rising to 92% among organizations considered more advanced in business autonomy.

“Our latest research highlights that the biggest gains from AI are realised when key foundations – integrated systems, strong data, skilled people, and the right governance – are working together”, said Paul Voges, Executive General Manager – Mid-Market at MYOB.

“Your ERP is the single source of truth that connects your operations. By embedding industry-leading AI capability directly into MYOB Acumatica, we’re making that intelligence available where it has the most impact”, he added.

MYOB said AI processing through Amazon Bedrock will run in local data centres, helping organizations keep data in-region while benefiting from enterprise-grade security, compliance, and scalability.

The company positioned local infrastructure as a critical advantage for organizations balancing AI adoption with growing cybersecurity and privacy concerns. According to MYOB’s Business Autonomy study, cybersecurity and data privacy remain the main barriers for businesses looking to scale AI initiatives.

“Mid-sized businesses shouldn’t have to make trade-offs to access the strongest technology”, said Voges. “Getting both market-leading AI performance directly in the platform and local data security is precisely what this partnership delivers.”

Customers will be able to access AI Studio in May during its early access technology preview phase, with broader availability and additional enhancements planned later this year.

To support adoption, MYOB and AWS will also host an AI Studio Hackathon for pilot customers, offering hands-on sessions focused on building and testing automation use cases within the platform.

The launch reflects a broader shift in the ERP market as vendors move beyond embedded AI features and increasingly introduce agentic capabilities directly into enterprise workflows.
